Veteran Employer Network
Helping Creating Veteran-ready Work Cultures in Oklahoma
We allow individuals, companies, and organizations to join the network. If interested in joining, please contact us.
The OKVU Veteran Employer Network was established in 2019 after the launch of the inaugural Veteran Employer Champion Survey designed to identify and recognize businesses in Oklahoma who showed their commitment to being a Veteran-ready place of work by meeting seven specific benchmarks. OKVU collaborated with its first class of Veteran Employer Champion representatives to determine how combined efforts could support other employers interested in creating Veteran-ready work cultures. Based on feedback, the network was developed to provide an opportunity for employers to connect, learn, and share best practices for creating Veteran-ready cultures within their businesses.
The OKVU Veteran Employer Network proudly has 200+ members representing 100+ employers and continues to distribute an annual state-wide survey to identify and recognize “Champions” actively recruiting, hiring, developing, promoting, and retaining Veterans in the workplace.
The network meets quarterly with subject matter experts, presentations, and panel discussions highlighting tools, resources, services, and programs to support Veterans, active military members, and their families in the workplace.
We are a one-of-a-kind employer focused organization in the United States committed to building quality workplaces for the Veteran community.
