Tulsa Community College Seventh Annual Vision Dinner - September 26, 2007

TULSA – The seventh annual Vision in Education Leadership Dinner took place Sept. 26 at Tulsa’s Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Phil Dessauer, Jr., the executive director of the Community Service Council, was honored at the dinner.  He received the Stephen J. Jatras Award, given in honor of a former member of the TCC Board of Regents who was a community leader.

Please visit this page of the website again soon for photos and quotes.

Also honored was John-Kelley Warren, who received the Vision Award.

Proceeds from the dinner are used to support students, faculty and staff through scholarships and educational programs.

The dinner is held each year in September to commemorate the college’s opening in September 1970. At that time, it was the first institution of public higher education established in Tulsa. The Vision Dinner is TCC’s largest fundraising event each year.

Tom Kivisto, president and CEO of SemGroup, is the Vision Dinner honorary chairman. Paul Cornell, Deputy CEO/COO of SpiritBank, is the Vision Dinner committee chairman.  TCC Foundation members on the planning committee include Mike Cooper, AT&T; Karen Davis, Tulsa Community Foundation; Joan Parkhurst, Paragon Films; Mary Shaw, community volunteer; and John Wiscaver, State Farm.
