Oklahoma
in Focus--Census Data
The Census Information Center (CIC) Program is a cooperative program between the U.S.
Census Bureau and 47 national, regional, and local non-profit organizations.
Started in 1988, CIC represents the interests of underserved communities. The centers
serve as repositories of census data and reports, making census information and
data available to the public and the communities they serve. The CICs use
census data in areas such as program planning, advocacy, needs assessment,
defining service areas, public policy development, developing new business
enterprises, and conducting race/ethnic-related research. (Census
Information Centers website, 12/06 ...

Using Tulsa's Census Information Center
The CIC frequently publishes data reports online.
Visit this web page often for the latest information.
In addition to the materials on the website, hard copy
information is available from the Community Service Council, during their
regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except
holidays. Extensive copies may require a small copy fee of 7 cents per page.
For special data requests, please contact Jan Figart,
jfigart@csctulsa.org.
Please place the words Census Information Center in the “subject” line of the
email. Special requests may require additional time. Extensive searches
or analysis of data for presentations or grants may require an additional fee.
Using Census Information
CIC provides consultation and training so
that people can utilize U.S. census data more effectively.
