2000 Volunteer of the Year Awards
JCPenney Company and the Tulsa Volunteer Center honored volunteers at the annual community-wide celebration attended by 460 people on Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at the Sheraton. A total of $9,500 was given to organizations nominating the winning volunteers.

The Kick-Off Brunch took place at the Sheraton Tulsa Hotel on January 25, 2000. Keith Isbell, KJRH Channel 2, was moderator, and representatives of many Tulsa-area nonprofit agencies came to learn how to nominate their volunteers for these awards.
