The Tulsa Hispanic Resource Association
A subcommittee of the Family Health Coalition, the
Tulsa Hispanic Resource Association (THRA) is an interagency committee of
providers serving Spanish-speaking clients and interested in the welfare of the
Latino community. THRA works to enhance the quality of life for the
Hispanic/Latino community through education, advocacy and services.
THRA strives to empower the Hispanic/Latino
community to achieve a greater self-sufficiency within the culturally diverse
environment of Tulsa.
We are a voice for the Hispanic/Latino
community concerning city and state social affairs.
We educate the community in a variety of
topics by providing workshops, events and information at different locations
We promote the importance of a healthy
lifestyle by coordinating events that offer services and make participants aware
of health and social services available.
Anyone with an interest in working with the
Hispanic/Latino community is welcome at THRA meetings. We meet the first
Friday of the month at the Community Service Council, located at 16 East 16th
Street, 1st floor at noon.
For more information, please contact THRA’s
Chair Zaida Castro-Kepford at 582-8272 ext 210 or e-mail her
